My Story

A very personal read.

Well hi, I'm Ahmed

I always thought that writing a biography page of yourself is something very awkward, curious and bizarre.

It calls the question (and at times, existentialism) of examining yourself and who you are, or who you want your audience to know you as.

The Short Story

It’s funny how as kids, we think we know everything.

But as we grow older, the world becomes more confusing, and we start to question what we really want from life.

I don’t know everything, and this blog isn’t about having all the answers. But here’s what I do know:

  • I’ve experienced the feeling of being stuck in a low-paying job (sometimes my paycheck was “well done kid!”) and yearning for something different. By the time I was 22, I had already spent over three years working in the corporate world.
  • I know what it’s like to pivot, do everything and still not know what I was passionate about. I’ve tried different roles: sales, marketing, UI & UX, consulting, writing. Everything.
  • I also know what it feels like to be young and to not feel experienced enough, knowledgeable enough or  confident enough to pursue a real career or walk an entrepreneurial path. I’ve also landed jobs and opportunities without relying on anyone but myself and with no relevance or background.

And these are the things I want to share with you.

I am always out testing the water and finding creative solutions and strategies to grow.

Not only in Marketing, but in my individual everyday life.

And above all, I am an avid learner, a curious person, and my mission is to help you take that next step towards your goal, with actionable steps and advice from proven research, experience and best practices.

The long story

Ever since I was a little kid, I was told that doing well in school and getting a high-paying job should be my ultimate goal. It was the plan that my parents had set for me, even though it wasn’t necessarily what I had envisioned for myself.

Here’s what I was supposed to do:

1. Pass the baccalaureate exam with a top grade.

2. Get into a prestigious university to study a degree.

3. Take my studies further and get a Masters- get even more qualified.

4. Find a corporate job at a reputable firm.

5. Climb the ranks and get a respectable senior or a managerial role.

While I understand their intentions were rooted in my future success, my parents inadvertently guided me down a path mirroring their own.

But I’ve always wanted to do something big, something great.

At the age of 19…

I had my first introduction to self-learning, this was where things really started to click for me.

It changed my habits, opened my eyes to personal development, improved my knowledge, and most importantly gave me the confidence in myself that I never had.

Through a random series of events, I was thrown into the allure of making money on the internet. An epiphany that most people reading this has probably gone experienced. My life in the online business world started when my friends persuaded me to join them in an entrepreneurial event, which turned out to be a winning experience for us.

From that moment on, the rest was history. I had an opportunity, and I became obsessed.

Within 18 months of that moment, momentum was building. My skillset was increasing by the day, and I was devouring every shred of valuable information I could get my hands on. In fact, learning has become more enjoyable and fun for me than most other activities.

It took a lot of courage and countless failures, but I have finally found the path I want to follow in life, and I am pursuing it every day..

And through my journey, I realised something very important.

And it’s that, although my journey is my own, my experiences singular to only myself…

The steps I took weren’t.

These experiences aren't unique to me - they can be yours too

Which leads me to why I started this blog.

It’s the realisation that actually, the things I’ve done aren’t inspiring. In fact, they’re all very doable steps anyone can take to immediately make an impact. Whether personally or for work.
